How to Join Your First Organization
If you’ve never used GetThru before, you’ll need to accept an invitation from your organization to get started.
This guide explains how to create your profile, access your messaging and calling assignments, and what to do if you encounter common errors during the signup process. If you've worked with other organizations previously, you'll have an existing profile, and should head over to the following guide for next steps: Join a New Organization with an Existing Profile.
Step 1 - Invitation
The first step will be that you will receive an invitation from your organization via email to join GetThru:
Step 2 - Signup Page
Once you click the link in the invitation email, you will see a signup page where you will create your individual GetThru user profile:
Please note that if an error says that your email address has already been taken, this means that you have registered with GetThru in the past. In that case, you can log in to your existing profile and edit the email address connected to your current profile. Then if you need to, you can reset your profile password and have your administrator issue a fresh invitation to the correct email address.
Step 3 - Assignments
Once your GetThru user profile is created, you will be taken to the Messenger page for that organization. The messenger page contains all active texting assignments you have been assigned to.
For all active calling assignments assigned to you, click Calling at the top of the page.
Step 4 - Beginning Assignments
If you have assignments already waiting for you from your admins, you will be all set to start! If you do not see any assignments waiting, you will want to reach out to your admins (the people you signed up to volunteer for) — they can tell you more about when you can expect your assignment to be live.
