What are Dedicated Phone Numbers?


Dedicated numbers are phone numbers associated with your account that can be used across multiple ThruText campaigns. For UK accounts, dedicated numbers are required for all texting campaigns.


This guide walks you through using the dedicated phone numbers page and managing your dedicated numbers.

Managing Dedicated Phone Numbers

At the bottom of the page is the list of dedicated phone numbers currently on the account. An account can have a maximum of five numbers.


This screenshot shows the dedicated phone numbers section on this page that shows active dedicated phone numbers. You can see how many dedicated numbers you have, the maximum capacity, and you can also edit the name of a number by clicking the pencil icon.


  • Provisioning Status: You can see the status of the provisioning under each number. The number is ready once there is a green flag showing "Provisioning Complete".
  • Editing the Name: Phone number names can be edited by clicking the 'Pencil' icon.


Active Campaigns

You can see the phone number you selected for your campaign on the Active Campaigns Index page. You'll see the name of your dedicated numbers here. If you named all of your dedicated numbers, it will be easier to distinguish dedicated number from single-use number campaigns since the dedicated number campaigns will all have names here.
